Conference
Following the success of the first Shanghai Fintech Conference in 2017, the Shanghai Institute of International Finance Center (SIIFC) at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and the University of Edinburgh Business School are organizing the 2nd Shanghai Fintech Conference on 27 October 2018.
The objective of the conference is to present top quality theoretical and empirical academic research on financial technologies and artificial intelligence. The committee welcomes studies that provide cutting-edge insights into current research work. Specific topics and research questions can include, but are not limited to the interplay between financial technology, artificial intelligence and accounting, asset management, banking, entrepreneurship, economic growth, business ethics, capital markets, corporate governance, green finance, innovation, regulation, as well as other related topics.
There is no registration fee for speakers. Meals and conference materials will be provided free of charge. The conference also includes a forum which brings together key policy makers and top professionals.

The European Journal of Finance invites submissions covering the regulatory, governance and pricing issues related to new financing models based on financial technology such as ICOs. All papers will be double blind refereed in the usual way.
Please note that acceptance to the conference does not guarantee publication of the paper in the Journal and attending the conference is not a precondition for the submission to the Special Issue.
